Here’s a simple step by step guide on how to convert Philips Blu-Ray Player models BDP3000 ONLY from Region B to Region A so that you can have access to US Region. The Blu-ray player software allows programs that run from the disc to query the player to determine the player region. If the region does not match the disc, the program instructs the player to display a message saying that there is a region mismatch and that the disc cannot be played.

Also known as a multi-region hack or region code 0 unlock, this means that you can play DVD discs that are locked to region codes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 on your Sony DVD or Blu-ray player. Sony Region-Free Method
The method for unlocking your Sony DVD/Blu-ray player to make it multi-region is to send the correct sequence of infrared remote control signals to the player from a specially made infrared transmitter. These infrared codes cannot be sent from your standard Sony remote control that came with your player but must instead be transmitted using custom-made hardware as described below.
